Hair, Makeup and Accessories

For Moree Club, Interclub and National competitions, parents will need to do their child’s hair in an appropriate style – hair can be up or down, curly or straight, braided or in a bun.

For Regional competitions, Club 2400 Moree Physie and Dance provides foam hair curlers (see below) and papers to students a week before the competition.  Parents/Carers are instructed on how to part the student’s hair which must be put into curlers the night before the competition and secured.

Club 2400 Moree Physie and Dance will provide team hair accessories which can be glitter bows, diamante clips and flower clips

Foam Hair Curlers

Light and soft, these foam hair rollers are ideal for overnight sets and very easy to use. Apply them when your hair is 90% dry after washing and go to sleep.
  • Brush your hair before applying the curlers.
  • Use a styling mousse or hair spray for some extra definition of your curls (keep 90% dry)
  • Part the hair and place into setting position as instructed by Pam
  • Take a section of hair and place the tip of the hair in the paper.  Wind the paper tip around the  foam roller and roll the curler up towards your scalp, keeping a steady tension between the hair roots and the curler.  The paper ensures the tips aren’t creased and maintain the curl.
  • Bend the curler into a "U" shape once the curler hits the scalp. Be sure that the curler hits the scalp. If necessary, bend the curler into a complete "O" shape to hold loose hair in place.
  • If you curl your hair overnight, then for the maximal comfort you can tie a scarf over your entire head before you go to bed.
